Bobbie Jo (Hackney) Dwiggins

On September 11, 2025, Bobbie Jo Dwiggins, age 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was born July 05, 1950 in Pittsboro, NC.  She was a loving wife to Joseph Dwiggins for 36 years.  She was mother to son David Smith and wife Connie of East Bend, NC, daughter, Dorothy Lemons and husband Dale of Eden, NC.  Grandmother to Amber and Heather Smith, Michale Land, Carley Dwiggins, Michaela and Alexis Kendrick, great grandmother to Eligah and Axel Rubin, Georgia, Wynonna and Tony Land, Lillian and Maggie Mabe, Camila Gonzales. She had a surviving brother, Glen Hackney and a large family of nieces and nephews.  She was a custodian for the City of Siler City for 21 and a half years and a devoted member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.  She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, William and Vivian Hackney, brothers, Ricky, George and Greg Hackney, and sister, Brenda Holyfield.  She was and still is remembered as a wonderful person who is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.  

A graveside service with be held Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 2:00PM at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery 1309 N. Pea Ridge Road Pittsboro, NC 27312 with Rev. Elmore presiding.
