Barbara Aileen (Arrington) Thomas

Barbara Arrington Thomas, 48, passed away Sunday, August 9, at her home in Pittsboro, NC

Barbara was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charlie and Annie Hackney ,her paternal grandparents, SL and Amy Arrington and her mother in law, Susie Thomas.

She was the wife of Herbert Thomas of Pittsboro, NC, daughter of Bobby and Vergie Hackney Arrington of Pittsboro, NC, mother of Blake and Blair Schemmer, both of Pittsboro, NC. Step mother to Saycoa and Marrissa Thomas, both of Apex, NC and sister to Lee Ann Churchill of Carrboro, NC and Amy Elizabeth Arrington Williams of Pittsboro, NC.

She loved her dogs, Hoho and Jingle. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23. " The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures; he leadeth me beside the still waters.  He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; they rod and thy staff they comfort me.  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
