Alice Faye (Whitaker) Elkins

Mrs. Alice Faye Elkins, 80, peacefully passed away in her daughter's home early Wednesday morning, March 3, 2021.

A Chatham County native, Alice Faye Whitaker was born April 24, 1940, daughter to the late Dorothy Campbell and Bernist Whitaker. She drove a school bus and worked as a teacher's aide for 24 years.

Surviving Mrs. Elkins is her husband of nearly 62 years, William Clyde Elkins, Sr.; her son, William Clyde Elkins, Jr. of Pittsboro; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Glenn Gregory of Lillington, NC; surviving brothers Donald E. Whitaker an Charles E. Whitaker, wife Laura. Deceased brothers Elwood Whitaker, wife Loris and Jerry Whitaker, wife Carolyn, one granddaughter, four great-grandchildren, six nieces, four nephews, eight great nieces, five great nephews, two great great nieces and one great great nephew.

A service in her memory will be held at a later date.
