Wilbur "JACK" Jackson Rider, Jr.

Wilbur Jackson "Jack" Rider, Jr., died suddenly Monday, January 29, 2018 in Chapel Hill, NC.  He was born November 18, 1953 in Kinston, NC, to Muriel Garner Rider and the late "Jack" Rider. 

Jack graduated from Parrott Academy in Kinston, NC and attended Mars Hill University and Carteret Community College. He retired in 2015 after 30 years of service with Lowes Home Improvement in Morehead City, NC. 

He is survived by his mother, Muriel, of Pittsboro, NC; his sister, Libby and brother-in-law, Bernice Jones, of Brooklyn, NY; and his sister, Jan Rider, of Pittsboro, NC; his nephew, Jackson Jones, of Manhattan, NY; niece, Olivia and her husband, Jeff Ramsey; great-nieces, Willa and Ida Ramsey, all of Brooklyn, NY.

Jack was a good man who worked hard and loved his family. 

A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM, Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Westview Cemetery in Kinston, NC, officiated by Pastor Allen Ham.
