Stella Wilson (Mann) Jones

Stella Wilson Mann Jones, age 89, of Pittsboro, died Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Sanford Health & Rehabilitation.

Stella was born in Chatham County, North Carolina on February 18, 1929 to the late Oscar Brent Mann and Stella Smith Mann. She was also preceded in death by her husband Henry Edward Jones, two brothers, Fletcher Mann and Horace Mann, and two sisters Viola Young and Katherine Newton Williams.

Surviving relatives include son David Jones and wife Frankie of Pittsboro, two daughters Betty “BJ” Squires and husband Kurt of Pittsboro, Marie Warf and husband Richard of Pittsboro, seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and special sister in law Phoebia Mann.  

The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 4PM at Mays Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Gregory Lamb and Pastor Val Chadwick presiding. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be in her memory to Mays Chapel Baptist Church cemetery fund 24 Rosser Road Bear Creek, NC 27207.
