Robert Bruce Spicer

Robert Bruce Spicer, 85, died Friday, May 25th, 2018 at 2:40 pm in Pittsboro, NC while in Hospice care after failing health.

Robert was born September 23, 1932 and grew up in the Hamburg, NY area.

A defining moment of his life was when he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior on September 24, 1949 at 9:32 pm.

Robert had an exceptional memory. He taught history and related subjects for 13 years, and was an itinerant preacher and Bible teacher among the Christian Brethren Assemblies for over 50 years. He was a favorite speaker at churches in the US and Canada.

Robert was preceded in death by his siblings Ira, Earl, June, Mabel, and Linda. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Willene; sister Betty; daughter Laura, her husband Bob; son Jason; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service, with military honors, will be held at Chatham Memorial Park.
