Mary Louise (Hearne) Womble

Mary Louise Hearne Johnson Womble, age 97, of Pittsboro, died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living.

Louise was born in Chatham County, NC on March 13, 1920 to the late Herbert Wilford Hearne and Lillian Griffin Hearne. She was also preceded in death by her first husband Junious Johnson, second husband London Womble, two brothers Nathaniel Hearne and Arthur L Hearne, and one sister Marie Wolfe.

Survivors include her sister Kathleen Braxton of Pittsboro, step-daughter Rosalie Edwards of Chapel Hill, step-son Arthur James Womble and wife Molly of Chapel Hill, sister in law Peggy Jenks of Graham, many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00AM at Hanks Chapel Church cemetery with Rev. Bob Wachs & Rev. Ray Gooch presiding. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the graveside service.
