Luke Fredrick Walters

Luke Fredrick Walters (Luke Duke, Luke Skywalker, Lukie Pookie, Demay), 14, passed away on Saturday, June 22nd.  Luke was entering high school this fall, having graduated from eighth grade at Silk Hope Elementary School with honors.

Luke was always smiling and happy and was often heard whistling throughout the day. He was the light and life in every room, with jokes, magic tricks, and good conversation.  He was compassionate, intelligent, curious, driven and funny. Luke was a young man who loved and who was dearly loved. He was the world to so many people.   His passion for science, love of family and friends and sports molded him into a strong young man.  He was looking forward to playing football at Jordan-Mathews High School.  Luke loved music; he played trumpet in the school band, and he loved to learn. Skateboarding, lifting weights and Anime were pleasures he enjoyed with sisters and friends.

The family missing Luke includes his parents, Jennifer and Raymond Walters, his brother Lance and sisters Mayson, Mackenzie, Morgyn and Madison.  His family also includes great grandmother, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles and cousins and a future brother-in-law.  Friends and family are spread from Silk Hope to New York to California.

The family will receive friends and guests from 1-3:00PM, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Donaldson Funeral Home, 396 West Street, Pittsboro, NC.

A service to celebrate Luke's life will start at 3:00PM with Pastor Alex Kirk officiating.
