Jessie Hilda (Holt) Gardner

Jessie Hilda Holt Gardner, age 91, of New Hill, died Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

Hilda was born in Chatham County, NC on December 1, 1927 to the late James Chesley Holt and Jessie Seymour Holt. She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Gardner, two brothers James Chesley Holt, Jr. and Bobby Knox Holt.  

Surviving relatives include four daughters; Sybil Lutterloh and husband Charles of Pittsboro, Bonnie Kidd of Pittsboro, Ethel Campbell of Pittsboro, and Marcie Lorbacher and husband David of New Hill, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two brothers; Worth Seymour Holt and wife Rheta of Indiana, Marion Howard Holt and wife Frances of Maryland and one sister Sylvia Holt Butler of Pittsboro.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 5, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM at Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation Griffin Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11AM at New Elam Christian Church with Rev. Ed Earp, Rev. Gary Moore, and Rev. Ray Gooch presiding. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
