Mrs. Jean Faye Williams Gore, 80, passed away Saturday morning, November 23, 2019 at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation in Sanford, NC.
Born in Bynum, NC, Mrs. Gore was a daughter to the late Ada Brassington and Everette Williams.
Jean had a love for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed fishing, even when nothing was biting; taking trips up to Cherokee, NC or visiting Carolina Beach with her family. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gore was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe; her son, Brad and her sister, Doris.
She is survived by her son, Ray Gore; two daughters, Dena (Mike) Graham and Sheri Cheek, all of Pittsboro; six grandchildren, Blake (Maria) Gore, Travis Gore, Whitney (Tim) Cheek, James (Kristy) Graham, Will Cheek and Ryan (Becky) Farrell; and nine great-grandchildren, Lily Gore, Liam Gore, Parker Gore, Annabelle Farrell, Elena Farrell, Archer Farrell, Gabriel Storrs, Aubree Graham and Olivia Graham.
The service to honor the life and memory of Mrs. Jean Gore will be held 2:00PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Mays Chapel Baptist Church 24 Rosser Rd., Bear Creek, NC 27207. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive guests and friends in the fellowship hall after the committal.
