Janie Janette (Johnson) Suttles

Janie Janette Johnson Suttles, age 85, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, August 5, 2019 at her home.

Janie was born in Chatham County, on September 5, 1933 to the late Hobert Johnson and Trannie McDuffie Johnson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph Suttles, daughter Donna Suttles Elkins, brother James Allen Johnson, and sister Cubie Wrenn.

Surviving relatives include her son Frankie Suttles and wife Donna of Chapel Hill, daughter Michelle Suttles Brown and husband Mark of Chapel Hill, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM at Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation Griffin Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 11AM at Bynum United Methodist Church cemetery with Pastor Wesley Thomas and Pastor Cory Oliver presiding.  

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Janie’s memory to UNC Hospice P.O. Box 1077 Pittsboro, NC 27312.
