Gladys Mae (Banner) Petty

Gladys Mae Banner Petty, age 91, of Pittsboro, NC died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living.

Gladys was born in Surry County, NC on July 20, 1926 to the late Samuel Edward and Nancy Collins Banner. She was also preceded in death by her husband Herbert Berry Petty, Sr and five brothers and sisters.

Surviving relatives include her son Berry Petty and wife Frankie of Raleigh, two daughters Kathy Berry and husband David of Chapel Hill, Kay Tate and husband Philip of Marion, NC, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2PM at Hanks Chapel Church with Rev. Bob Wachs and Rev. Ray Gooch presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall after the committal service.
