Cora Lee Johnson

Mrs. Cora Lee Johnson, 84, died Wednesday morning, November 28, 2018 at the Montgomery Village Assisted Living facility in Star, NC.

Cora Lee was born in Chatham County, NC, November 3, 1934 to the late Allie Wilson Johnson and the former Effie McDuffie. She went to school in Bynum and loved watching television and listening to gospel music.

Cora was married for more than 30 years to the late Clearance Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; three half-brothers and one half-sister.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her son, Thomas Johnson of Star; her daughter, Ann Groves of Virginia; her sister, Carleen Jacobs of Pittsboro; two grandchildren, Kayla and Ryan; along with several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Johnson will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Bynum UMC - 54 Bynum Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC 27312.

The Rev. J.B. Nielson will officiate the service.
