Mary Joyce (Jones) Taylor

Mary Joyce Jones Taylor, age 87, of Pittsboro, died Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Central Carolina Hospital.

Joyce was born in Chatham County on July 2, 1930 to the late Eli Murphy Jones and Mable Thomas Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband Victor Haywood Taylor. 

Joyce is survived by two daughters Vickie Gaudette and husband Ned of Pittsboro, Diane Taylor of Pittsboro, and one granddaughter.

The family will receive friends, Monday, November 20, 2017 from 6PM to 8PM at Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation Griffin Chapel. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2PM at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Pastor David Crowther presiding. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Joyce’s memory to Mt. Olive Baptist Church. 5043 Mt. Olive Church Road Pittsboro, NC 27312.
