Jeffrey Scott Blackmon

Jeffrey Scott Blackmon, age 49, of Chapel Hill, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at his home.

Jeff was born in Broward County, Florida, on August 2, 1968 to Clarence Erwin Blackmon and Hilda Moss Blackmon.

Jeff was an avid hunter and active member of Two Creeks Hunting Club in Halifax County.

He is also survived by his wife Sherri Jourden Blackmon, two sons; Jourden Blackmon of Chapel Hill and Hunter Blackmon who is currently stationed at Camp Lejeune in the United States Marine Corps and his wife Savannah, one brother Ricky Blackmon and wife Pam of Clayton, and his mother and father in law Lewis and Brenda Jourden of Fayetteville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 4PM to 6PM at Donaldson Funeral Home & Cremation Griffin Chapel. A Memorial Service will follow at 6PM with Pastor John Hedgepeth presiding.
